FASPE is an intensive, two-week study program in professional ethics and ethical leadership.
The curriculum is designed to challenge fellows to critically examine constructs, current developments, and issues that raise ethical concerns in their professions in the contemporary settings in which they work.
Fellows are required to be well-prepared and participate in all program activities, including all seminars, walking tours, site visits, group meals, and other planned group activities.
They have six programs available: journalism, business, law, medicine, clergy & religious leaders, and design and technology.
Fellows spend two weeks in Germany (Berlin) and Poland (Krakow and Oświęcim), where they visit key sites of Nazi history and also participate in daily seminars led by specialized faculty.
The program couples the power of place with academic rigor and many informal opportunities for creative exchange. FASPE fellowships are fully funded so that financial ability does not affect participation.
What does fully funded mean?
Fully funded means that the ethics fellowship includes the following:
- Roundtrip economy-class airfare to Europe
- All transportation costs for group travel and activities in Germany and Poland
- All admission fees
- All program materials
- All hotel costs
- All group meal costs
- Pocket money to cover non-group meals
2025 Program Dates:
- Law, Business, and Design and Technology: May 23, 2025 – June 6, 2025.
- Medical, Clergy & Religious Leaders, and Journalism: June 20, 2025 – July 4, 2025.
