Earn a Master’s degree at The American University in Cairo for free
Who: Citizens of Iraq, Jordan, & Morocco with a minimum 3.0 GPA
Deadline: October 1 & October 15, 2021
TLG is a two year program that offers students from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) a unique opportunity to pursue higher education and earn a Master’s degree at The American University in Cairo.
Applicants must choose from the following graduate programs: Economics, International and Comparative Education, Migration and Refugee Studies, or Nanotechnology.
Furthermore, applicants to the TLG students program must commit to pursuing graduate thesis research on one of the pre-selected research topics and participate in volunteer opportunities and leadership trainings.
In exchange, the TLG students program covers:
- Full tuition fees for the fall and spring semesters
- Medical insurance
- A monthly stipend
- Student housing
- Internship/practicum opportunity including local transportation costs if needed
- Opportunity to attend one conference to present research findings
- Two annual round-trip economy air ticket from home to campus; or housing and living stipend to continue approved program activities on campus during breaks for students unable to return home because of circumstances outside of their control
In order to apply applicants should submit the AUC graduate admission application by the announced deadline of October 1 to get their student ID. The ID will provide applicants with access to fill out the TLG support application by a maximum of October 15.
