The SME Week Youth Essay Competition is launching for the sixth time with a brand new question: What do SMEs need in order to become sustainable and resilient in the context of COVID-19 and other global challenges? Thinking about the competences and skills needed in the future for an entrepreneur, describe three promising and sustainable start-ups in 2030.
The youth essay competition is organized by the European Commission Directorate-General for Single Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This competition aims to provide an opportunity for 18-25 year olds to share their ideas with key figures in the fields of entrepreneurship and SMEs.
Winners of the competition will attend and present at the 2021 SME Assembly, which will be held November 15-17th in Portorož, Slovenia. Before presenting, winners will also receive presentation training to help with the delivery of their essay.
For the chance to win, applicants must answer this year's question in an essay with a maximum of 2,500 words in length.
