A grant for a six-month work, internship, or volunteer abroad program
Age: 18 – 28
Deadline: October 15, 2020
Description: The Christianson Grant is awarded to motivated young Americans who create and carry out their own meaningful service projects abroad. Past grantees’ projects have focused on multiple international issues, including public health, environmental conservation, legal advocacy, women’s and girls’ rights, microfinance, education, and poverty alleviation, among other topics.
Grantees share their experiences via regular blog posts about their project and a completion report in order to further international understanding and promote cultural awareness.
As a grant applicant, your project should focus on an issue and a region of the world which you feel passionately about. Showcase your specific skill-sets and the tangible, sustainable contribution you will make to a community abroad.
Proposed programs must be at least six months in length and emphasize a work, internship, and/or volunteer component.
